(Special thanks for 25,000 views! This has to be my most viewed video yet.) You love donuts, you hate all that fat. In this video, I will show you how to cook fresh donuts in the oven. You can find the kind of donut pan I'm using at Amazon.com. NOTE: You could use just about any muffin recipe to make a baked donut.

REGULAR DONUTS: (as shown in video)

2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly spray Donut Pan with cooking oil. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a measuring cup, measure milk & whip in the eggs. Add milk to flour mixture and add all other ingredients. Beat until well blended. (If using whole wheat, don't mix too much) Fill each donut hole 2/3 full. Bake 8-12 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched. Cool. Remove from pan and decorate however you like or enjoy plain. Wipe pan off and repeat process.

1-1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter (optional)

Mix together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. In separate bowl mix eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick. Combine milk and butter. Combine egg mixture and milk mixture with flour mixture and mix until smooth and soft. Follow cooking directions as directed in regular donuts recipe shown above.

1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 tbsp HOT water
Baking cocoa (for chocolate glaze)

Mix together until smooth.
