Michelle Rechtien speaks about her experience with mandatory arbitration. Michelle has not had her day in court with the builder of her home for numerous unresolved problems. Instead she was put into arbitration, and now owes tens of thousands of dollars if she hopes to fix her home for resale.

U.S. Senator Russ Feingold reintroduced legislation to protect the right of Americans to have their day in court. The bill would make pre-dispute agreements requiring arbitration for any employment, consumer, franchise, or civil rights disputes unenforceable.
