Herodion - palace, excavation of Herod's Tomb -1 See all videos at http://tiltul.com/art/Travel/Historic... Herod's tomb was found on May 2007 on the north slope of his amazing conical shape desert palace, 7 miles south of Jerusalem. Only 15min drive on a newly opened excellent road (not on the map yet), it is a must see.
Josephus Flavius (the Jewish Roman historian) wrote that Herod who ruled the ancient kingdom of Judea from around 37 BC to 4 BC was buried at Herodion. The Series of Video clips show the excavation around the tomb, the view towards Jerusalem at the north and Judah Desert to the East. Other videos show the Tomb, the Palace and the impressive water system.
