On May 6, 2011, Meridionalis, Americas Society's early music vocal ensemble, collaborated with Lipzodes, a group that specializes in similar repertoire, and Chilean percussionist Yayo Serka. The concert included some of the earliest polyphonic music performed (and possibly composed) in the western hemisphere, drawn from a manuscript from 1582.
