A group of European liberals travelled to East Ukraine to confront some very hard questions. They visited the war-affected towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, where hundreds have lost their lives since 2014. - Is the Minsk agreement dead? - Is corruption a security threat? - How dangerous is Putin's Russia? - Is cyber war imminent?

Furthermore, the consultation addressed the following subtopics: • “NATO and the Different Perspectives in Security Demands in Eastern Europe” • “Hybrid Warfare and Propaganda” • “Cyber War and Its Challenges”
The “Future of Freedom” consultation took place in Kharkiv and included field visits to the war-affected towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in Eastern Ukraine. The participants of our consultation included representatives from FNF partner and ALDE parties and experts from FNF’s partner organizations, involved in research, advocacy, human rights protection, humanitarian work, conflict resolution as related to security and foreign policy issues.
