The distinguished panelists in discussion of “ Hybrid Warfare and Propaganda” during the "Future of Freedom" consultation in Ukraine of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom were:
- Prof. Todor Tagarev, former Minister of Defence of Bulgaria
- Dr Pavel Felgenhauer, independent Russian military analyst, Jamestown Foundation in Washington DC USA
- Col. General Ihor Smeshko, former Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU)
- Dr Susanne Spahn, politologist, historian and journalist, Germany




- Moderator: Dr. Christian Trippe, Head of Studio Kyiv, Deutsche Welle

A group of European liberals travelled to East Ukraine to confront some very hard questions. They visited the war-affected towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, where hundreds have lost their lives since 2014.
- Is the Minsk agreement dead?
- Is corruption a security threat?
- How dangerous is Putin's Russia?
- Is cyber war imminent?

Stay tuned for a series of short documentaries and reports from the Future of Freedom annual consultation focusing on "A New Security Policy for Eastern Europe?". Furthermore, the consultation addressed the following subtopics:

The “Future of Freedom” consultation took place in Kharkiv and included field visits to the war-affected towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in Eastern Ukraine. The participants of our consultation included representatives from FNF partner and ALDE parties and experts from FNF’s partner organizations, involved in research, advocacy, human rights protection, humanitarian work, conflict resolution as related to security and foreign policy issues.
