This piece: "Bist Du bei mir" (if you are close to me) is written down by Anna Magdalena Bach personnaly in her own handwriting in the Notebook dedicated to her. She did not mention any composer, but this piece is from an Opera by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel (1690-1749) with the german titel: "Diomedes oder die triumphierende Unschuld" . When Stölzel was in Leipzig, both composers came in contact with each other. Stölzel also played in the collegium musicum, which J.S.Bach was conducting. Played here by Maria Scharwieß on the pipe organ of the Nathanaelchurch in Berlin-Schöneberg. For more info about me visit my homepage.
