Members of the US Air Force 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral Air Force STation and Patrick Air Force Base take us on a tour of the Morrell Operations Center(aka Range Operations Control Center, "The ROCC") on media day during Air Force Week 2010, hosted by Patrick AFB. The ROCC is the nerve center for launch, security, weather and range operations at Cape Canaveral. Here they monitor everything from boats that might stray into the area downrange to the weather on launch day. During the tour, personnel were on the control rooms doing exercises relating to the upcoming launch of Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-133. Col. Lee Rosen is the commanding officer of the 45th Launch Group which has overall responsibility for rocket launches that take place from Cape Canaveral and the Eastern Range.
