Buddy was born near a cemetery. With his father as a cemetery caretaker, his childhood revolved around the dead.
Growing up in a community of drunkards and war freaks, he always gets involved in fraternity wars and riots. Despite their poor situation, he continued his studies as a marine technician.
He was a youth leader in their barangay when he heard about Jesus and he became a coordinator of Christian Crusade in the community. That was the time he received a calling from the Lord to be a full-time minister.
At the start of his ministry work, he became conceited and felt entitled because of fame as a radio DJ of a Christian station. The comforts of the ministry overwhelmed him.
To teach him, his leader sent him to do missions in less-reached places like Bataan, Pampanga and different parts of Luzon. He experienced eating exotic foods just to survive in a specific place and living under the roof of a stranger.
They lived by grace in his time of ministry and he learned that ministry is hardship, not fame.
During his Mindanao missions trip, his life got in danger as they stayed where Christians were not welcome. A near-death experience happened when a rebel was about to shoot him because they entered a danger zone, but a Muslim saved him, saying that he knows Buddy. Clueless, Buddy concluded that it was God's miracle.
With all his experiences, he became a Missions Mobilizer, a senior Pastor of Jesus the Messiah Congregation. He got a farmland in Bataan, the Shalom Farm, where they teach agriculture to their missionaries so that they would have skills that they can use as an entry point to be able to share the Gospel to the southeast Asian nations. He is also teaching Social Studies (Asian and World History) in junior high school.
Buddy is now a Missionary Trainer for Southeast Asia. He spearheaded The Great Commission Foundation Inc., supporting the Missionaries they sent out to different parts of Southeast Asia.
