I'd like to think I'm kind of a special guy, so I ordered a custom made keyboard from Unicomp. This is definitely one of the most unique Model M keyboards you will ever see--and it's newly manufactured!

(Okay that's not 100% true. I really wanted to see how my mother would react upon seeing this. Her father used to cover the keys on the family typewriter with electrical tape, yet she never learned how to touch type. She actually took seeing this keyboard pretty well. As with the "microwaving" of weasel2htm's microphone, I now expect several people telling me all about how "mean" this was. I don't believe or engage in mean spirited pranks or practical jokes. It's not funny unless everyone can laugh about it.)

Unicomp's customization offerings do have their limits, and I suppose you can only choose from the black or beige/grey/white color options unless you'd want to order enough specially made keyboards to make acquiring differently colored plastic worth their while. That said, they will make keyboards suitable for use with almost any alphabet used in the world, and different keyboard layouts (such as Dvorak).
