Unboxing of the Epson Surecolor SC-S80600 64" Hi-Volume production solvent printer.

Two giant boxes spread over two pallets were delivered to our RGB UK office in Reading for the showroom. We took a look at just what is involved in the setup of the printer and give a brief overview of what is received. The printer itself is a 64" solvent printer with a hi speed solvent print head with a 360 nozzle count per colour.

Once we had set up the printer and printed for the first time, everyone was shocked at the speed and the extremely low level of sound that the printer makes when printing. Anyone that has worked or been around a large format printer will know that they can be a noisy beast. The Epson Surecolor SC-S80600 is not only fast, but it is also super quiet. Once we had moved it to our showroom that is in a different building, we realised more of the small things that have been engineered into the printer by Epson that make the bigger jobs easier.

The things we love about this printer,
- Speed
- Noise (lowest we have ever heard)
- Usability (Loading, unloading and printer settings)
- Motorized media and take up bars.
- Downloadable profiles (Printer & RIP syncing)
- Warranty (2 Years!)

In conclusion, we honestly believe that Epson have made one of the best printers in its class. Its no wonder that it has a reputation to beat.
