Cold starting my Petter A1, 1.5hp @ 750rpm. Age unknown (the engine's data plate is badly faded in parts) but probably dates to the early 1950s. It powered a cement mixer during its working life then sat under a hedge in the previous owner's garden for a decade before I acquired and rebuilt it.
To do: locate a fuel filter bowl/tap and the correct fittings so that I can make a copper fuel line to replace the temporary clear plastic one in place now. More work on the flywheel crown to remove pitting, and a small piece of cork behind the upper shroud to absorb the clatter (which accounts for most of the mechanical noise).
