Hey Guys and Gals I got this one about a week ago and have been really wanting to crack it open and see what its all about but I wanted to wait to do it on film so you could be here with me :D

It is a Japanese 2 car electric train and this version with this color scheme replaces the older color scheme which had more white, I'm not sure if the previous version had the sound gimmick that this one has but this and the older version is a nice train.

The motor car is powered by a C size battery and it is a 2 speed drive unit, the cover comes off the traditional way by squeezing the body and lifting off the top. It runs pretty quietly and is quite fast.

The sound car unscrews from the bottom to lift off the top inside we see that it is powered by 2x AAA batteries that run the sound system and speaker. the volume is very good and the sound is reasonably clear, the sound it produces when switched on appears to be a Japanese station alarm type sound perhaps to signal that the train is ready to depart, when moving the sound is a steady clickety clak with the occasional horn sound. When the wheels stop so does the sound which is a nice feature the sound of course starts again when the train does too. The sound can be switched on and off on the sound car via the small black switch on the roof. The sound is fairly loud and clear even up the other end of the layout, it is perhaps twice as loud as a talking trackmaster engine.

I think it looks great and is something different for my collection, the sound gimmick is definitely something I could get used to and there should be more with this feature perhaps a steam train sound producing carriage or coach would be something I would buy if they ever made it.

As you can probably tell I am very pleased with it and recommend this one :D
