WATCH this video too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6seJ6...
^^ This linked video is one that I re-recorded to include some changes to the fight, like the fact that he leashes/evades and some details about using dire beast and stampede.
After watching the video I realized that I did have a couple people attack for a little bit, but regardless of that, the strategy still works the same.
He can be found in Molten Front, just behind the Forlorn Spire ( Where all of the yellow spiders are and where you get the quests to kill the spiders). He is the unique, purple-blueish white spider.
You would typically need to have some friends with you to knock him down to the appropriate HP to be able to tame him, which is 20%. However, it is possible to tame him by yourself, without any help from anyone else. This is the only time I have ever seen Deth'tilac, and the only attempt ever at taming him. I found someone's video and went off of that for solo taming.
Now I am probably really lucky, I found him really late at night/early in the morning. Not too many people were around.
-------However, here is the strategy:--------
-You must bring him to 20% HP before you are able to tame him. (debuff says so)
-Each time Deth'tilac casts "Death Strike" His HP is taken down by 10%. But he can only cast this on people in melee range.
- Send in a pet to take the "Death Strike" hit. (I used a spider for extra slows "Web") But any pet should work.
- You can do this in any spec but I used Survival and had the "Entrapment" talent which means that any time I used Ice Trap or Snake trap, it would also root the enemy for about 3 seconds when the trap is triggered, which helps out a lot with what you need to do.
-The idea is to keep him slowed as much as possible so that you have time to send your pet in and /revive pet so that you can keep forcing him to Death Strike your pet. So lay your Ice trap down, and if you have the Entrapment talent - Snake Trap too.
If you have any question PLEASE ask me. I will always respond and I think i left some stuff out because this is like my 20th time trying to upload this video. Thanks
