[BlackTree TV - New York] Now I know for many of you this cast represents some type of assortment of eye candy, for many others it represents a cast full of young African American actors that we hope to see rise to the top of their game as their careers grow. But for me, I was most at awe by the real tuskegee airmen whom we met in New York while doing a Press Day for Red Tails. As big a producer as George Lucas is, as big a star as Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding, Jr. are, none of them compared to the career of Dr. Roscoe Brown, Squandron Leader for airforce regiment known to us as the Tuskegee Airmen, and the first fighter pilot period to shoot down a German Jet Plane over Berlin. I was honored to meet the gentleman and to feel his tight grip as he shook my hands. Now up in his years, his brain hasn't lost a step and he came off to me as the star that he most certainly is. Well check out the interview, no reason for me to sit here and tell you about it all they when you can just watch.... A BlackTree Media Production Thank you for watching! Even though I'm white, I have a huge appreciation and respect for the Tuskegee Airmen. They were some of the best pilots I've ever heard of. I wish I could meet the few that are still alive. I will say that some parts of the movie were a little humorous, but the overall message was good. I absolutely loved the movie, and I recommend other people watch it. I also agree that their story needs to be told. They were an important part of history, and they deserve to be remembered.

@SpartanicalSystem are you joking this wasn't during ww1 and they are black not native american. WTF they don't know half what they are talking about this movie had alot of symbolism. also they were pissed off how they put white people as white supremists. you have to understand they weren't only fighting germans but segregation and racism. They proved they can fly and fight like any other man. some people don't understand that and is the reason most why foreigners take americans = assholes

I have only respect for what these brave men did for our country. As far as the movie goes I wish the acting could have matched the situation. I have never been a fighter pilot but I would assume they would be acting a little more scared when bullets and flack are coming at them. If only the director could have pointed that out to the actors I feel the movie could have seemed more realistic. Anyways God bless the real heroes who fought in the war.

First, I don't think the movie was a joke, and I know quite a few people who think the same thing. I absolutely loved it, and I can't wait to own the DVD. That being said, everyone has their own opinion, and everyone is entitled to it. Second, I have respect for all vets. That being said, I have a soft spot for WWII vets and an even softer spot for the Tuskegee Airmen because they had a lot more to prove (and fight for).

The movie was a joke... And just about everyone has respect for the vets, regardless of the color of their skin. It's 2012. Nobody (just about at least) is going to refuse to see Red Tails because the film is about a group of African-American pilots. Racism is done, besides reverse discrimination, which is the biggest fuel to the dying fire now.

WW2 happened a little bit longer ago befor Tyler Perry. Moron.

@A9900960 You are the exact audience this movie was targeting. Really, REALLY, stupid people. The Red Letter Media review was satire, and they literally state 15 seconds into it everything they just said was "wrong, just like this movie." You proved their point. Which is hilarious and a little sad. Get out of my country.
