"If abortion is about women's rights, then what were my rights?" Gianna Jessen, asked a packed meeting of MPs and the public on the evening of Tuesday 6th December 2005. Ms Jessen was aborted via saline solution injection at seven and a half months gestation. Having swallowed some of the poisonous liquid during the procedure she contracted cerebral palsy: a disability she has to this day. She is to run the London Marathon this April to raise money for others who suffer from the condition.
