Bouquet Of Roses (Nelson-Hilliard) by Eddy Arnold and his Tennessee Plowboys (CD audio source)
The Tennessee Plowboy’s monster country hit (a record-breaking 54(!) weeks charted--19 of them at #1) also spent an impressive six months on the pop listings, peaking at #13 on the juke box charts. Eddy’s original hit versions of “Anytime” and “Just A Little Lovin’ (Will Go A Long Way)” are also included in the 1948 collection, and previously posted to this channel is the a cappella Dick Haymes ‘recording ban’ version of “Bouquet Of Roses,” a minor hit for him in early 1949.
