Erma Pratt is the granddaughter of Sophia Pratt who was twice honored by the Bahamian government for her service as a midwife and for her knowledge of bush medicine. This video shows two bush medicine plants: "match-me-if-you-can" and "obeah bush". Portions of Erma Pratt's audio require a trained ear to fully understand, but some subtitles are included, and portions of audio and video transcripts appear in the book "Bush Medicine of the Bahamas," This video is part of a series on Bahamian bush medicine, and is the result of a four-year research study in the Bahamas.
