Singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata performs "You Won't Let Me" at the 2012 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival today held a Tree Planting Ceremony with First Lady Michelle Obama, dignitaries from the United States and Japan, as well as school children. A single tree was planted in West Potomac Park adjacent to the Tidal Basin, commemorating the centennial anniversary of the gift of trees from the city of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. The ceremony symbolizes the longevity of the original gift and the millions who will continue to enjoy the nation's greatest springtime celebration in Washington, DC.
