This year's Fort Garry Bike Club (FGBC) annual 24 Hour winter biking event was called "Sloth Cross" (part of the series of Nordic Cross races based on the Seven Deadly Sins) and was held on 13-14 Feb 2010 in Winnipeg. It was based out of Tomek "The Poosher"'s place, with each lap being 10 kms of winter pathways, The River Trail and some river edge single track. But the "Slothy" race also encouraged lounging to watch movies (watching a 2 hour movie = 1 lap!), enjoying a cool one or two, plus Arlene's great soup and Colin & Anita's BBQ spread next door! For me it was a blast and I rated 14.5 laps, just out of the medals in 4th (kind of like our Olympic ski team). Awesome times and hopefully this video captures that!!
