A video prepared for an online class I'm teaching that discusses Facebook Advertising. I was prompted by the recent protests by Egyptian students to write and record a song called "These Songs of Freedom". The song is dedicated to the students in Tahrir Square in Cairo and to people who seek freedom everywhere, to Bob Marley, and in honor of Peter Gabriel, who has consistently worked for human rights around the world.
In the video, I discuss some of the particulars of what it was like to make a Facebook page designed for an Arabic and Persian-speaking audience.
The page also has english, if you scroll down on the wall, if you'd like to listen to the song or read the poem.
