U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) appeared on C-NBC to discuss the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations. Wicker and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) joined CNBC's Tyler Mathisen.
In part, Wicker said, "Senator Reid and Senator McConnell are talking and they've been talking. One thing that seems to have gone unnoticed is that Senator McConnell and Senator Reid and the Speaker actually pretty much came to an agreement last Sunday night. Senator Reid took that agreement to the President, and because it didn't extend the debt ceiling past the election, the President rejected it and basically told Senator Reid go back, here are your marching orders, we can't work from this framework."
