Dr. Colm Howlin highlights some of the ongoing research into the learning behaviors exhibited by students using the Realizeit system. By examining several courses from different domain areas at the University of Central Florida, including Algebra, Psychology and Pathophysiology, the webinar touches on the wide range of possible behaviors that are enabled by the Realizeit adaptive learning model. Animations that replay student progress and effort levels will be used to help identify prototype and aggregate behaviors. Following this, the potential impact of this research on areas such as the guidance and feedback provided to students, or the impact on attempts to build predictive models, are discussed.
