To learn the steps and figures of the dances of the English Regency period (about 1775-1830), go to http://RegencyDances.org See the notations, animations, videos and available music CDs for this and other dances.

We danced this in order to prove that Mr Isaac's Maggot can (and in my opinion should) be danced in 40 bars, not the 20 bars of the Cecil Sharp interpretation. The original manuscript says "Each Strain shall be Play'd Twice". (Note: The dancers only had ten minutes to rehearse this before filming - please be forgiving.)

The insert half way through is from the animation at http://RegencyDances.org
