G'day, just a quick news update today. Path of Exile is holding an open beta public stress test weekend. This means that you can play the game for 48 hours without a closed beta key. PoE is an Action RPG similar to Diablo that boasts some very interesting gameplay mechanics. Come try it out!

Guys, in case it isn't obvious this comment is spam and a link to something suss. The guy is using something to game the upthumbs system. Flag for spam and dont follow link.
Spoken like someone whose actually never tried it. Considering this game will be free to play when it goes live also, there is no excuse to even say something like this before you give it a chance. The game has it's flaws, but for what it's worth (0$ out of your pocket) it's got a lot of potential and is already heading in a great direction, it can only get better with time.
Truth. Since PoE is supposedly going OB in a month, there's no point in getting attached to your characters created during the publice stress weekend. For those who participated in the last stress test like me, (two months ago), there was more than enough time to get characters to the endgame. This is just to whet your appetite so to speak, and test the server load. If you enjoy it, just wait til OB.

Graphics and game play look like crap.

Only 48hours actually. Just see it as an opportunity to play for a bit, test out the mechanics and experiment with some wacky builds. There is no point getting attached to characters even in closed beta since they wipe them after major patches. Game will be free to play in a little over a month anyway.

The devs are from NZ and they optimised the game to play at around 250ms ping, it plays very well from Aus. Kind of cool to have people developing online games who understand what latency is like.
ill buy it if you give nz servers =/
Looks good but i'm not really a big fan of playing for a week then being locked out.
Diablo 3.
love betas! I'll be checking this out!
When autoplay is enabled, a suggested video will automatically play next.
