Eugene Onegin is at the Northern Alberta Jubilee April 19, 21, 23 25, 2013.
Before each opera, a panel discussion is held, with professors from local post-secondary institutions and members of the Edmonton Opera's creative team involved with the production. Together, the panelists provide a well-rounded look at the context the opera was created in (sociological, political, historical) as well as the musical and theatrical aspects.

Breakdown:
0:06: How is the Edmonton Opera production staged?
1:13: Is love an illusion?
25:07: The duelling tradition
34:55: Tatiana's letter scene
46:42: What are we missing in the English translation of the original text/libretto?

Panelists include: Edmonton Opera CEO Sandra Gajic, artistic administrator & chorusmaster Michael Spassov, and University of Alberta Russian language & literature professors Jelena Pogosjan and Peter Rolland.
