This is my first video here on YouTube, and it's me playing a metal cover of Death Egg final boss theme from Sonic & Knuckles. This song is part of a video game cover project called Metallic Pixels which consists of me on guitar and my good friend Cubase on everything else.
The song itself isn't really anything extra from what you may have heard from the game. It's the same, but with other instruments, as I was too lazy to come up with anything original when I arranged it for metal. Changing it almost two years later probably won't do it any good.
For this (and probably for every other video I'll upload) I've used my Ibanez RG270DX with my Pod X3 Live for the guitar parts, and Cubase for keyboard, drums and bass. I could probably play the other parts minus drums, but I don't own a bass guitar and I'm too lazy to learn the keyboard stuff. Since I suck at doing everything else than getting samples out of Cubase, actual mixing was done in Sony ACID 5.0. And yes, all this means that the video was shot after the recording itself, as will also probably be the case with everything else I'll upload.
I'm playing "Guitar 1" on the video. I first tried to split the screen on the chorus parts, but Windows Movie Maker is not my strong side. All I could manage was to get the left side of one video and the right side of another to show, and that looked kinda weird, so I stuck with one track.
EDIT: Re-mastered the song, the audio track in the video is still the old one, but the download link now points to a better quality version.
