This is an introduction to pirouettes, which are the act of spinning on one foot, typically with the raised foot touching the knee of the supporting leg though the other leg can also trail out behind. In the future I will talk more about how to integrate hoops into pirouettes but first I want to help you build the strength to come up onto the ball of the foot as well as do one leg lift that can power your turn.
