Bob's P-40 had a short, rough life. In route to its maiden, it had been severely damaged. Repairs were made and a second attempt was made. Tragically, its one flight did not last long. Upon leaving the ground, the plane was all but uncontrollable, Bob struggled to keep it flying, finally it crashed, and was destroyed. The speculation is hidden, unrepaired damage was the cause.
