The left hand does a slow repeating figure, visually like a representation of a flat plain going on as far as the eye can see, while the right hand is like what might be happening in that environment--Somebody goes by on a bicycle? Insects? A plane overhead? Somebody walking? Birds? A car? Prarie dogs? UFO's? Penguin flippers (probably not)?...(Asteroids?) The Circle Song comes out of the fog into a Romantic style of piano in a form that's maybe circular: The first A section is in A, The second A section is in Bb, then the bridge, then back to the first A secion in A...but this makes it sound like a lopsided AABA...(We're really back at the beginning but it feels like the end--That said the Bb now sounds like the beginning of the form.) I suppose it is sort of circular in that light....?
