This is a friend's PS3, not mine. His PS3 went YLOD a few months ago. After trying a lot of things, he got frustrated and went on with this"give finger" method to the power button and it seems to work for him!

He told me that he has to do this everytime he powers up his PS3, although sometime it will continue working for a little while, as you can see in the video.

Thought it might be worth sharing, in case that this works for some of you.

It didn't work for me, so I had to do the gilksy fix, which worked great.

The tutorial in this vid may do the trick for a couple of people, but not really for many including me. I tried almost everything I could track down on youtube and ended up wasting a great deal of time and getting very pissed off. I discovered a guide online that finally helped me fix it in an hour or so with tools around the house and also came together with a few sweet extras. You can check it out at tinyurl(.)com/fixylodps3
