I made this as a tribute to the principles that Jefferson, Franklin and others stood for back when the Declaration of Independence was written. Here's to the intellect, insight and bravery of the founders. For those unfamiliar with American history please read on below. This video begins with vintage pictures of the American colonists' domestic life -- circa 1776. Next, mother country England imposes its tyranical decrees: the *Stamp Act* and the *Tea Tax*. Next, the colonists' violent rebellions in Boston, followed by the writing of the *Declaration of Independence* by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. And finally a war against England led by George Washington. The pivotal point of the war was the crossing of the Delaware River at night for a successful sneak attack on the enemy in the early morning. With the help of the French the war is finally won, and so is the Founding Fathers' vision of an independent Constitutional Republic. Note: The U.S. Constitution was penned about three years after the war was won.
