ClickShake announced a new game in development under the working title "Mystery Game": a 1-4 player cooperative crime scene detective game for mobile and computers. Learn more here: http://www.clickshakegames.com/mystery/. This is the trailer shown at GDEX 2017 in The Greater Columbus Center Center in Ohio; the game's first public playtest.

The game is like a mix between the classic board games Clue and Guess Who, where the suspects look different every time and the clues are based on what they were wearing, the color of their hair, etc. Figure out who had each suspicious item found at the scene of the crime in order to determine "whodunnit".

It has been in development for about a year part-time. It really came together visually in the last 3 weeks before GDEX, with lots of crunching to replace all the programmer's temp art with real artists' art, including characters with dynamic coloring and various dynamic clothing options, wide screen background, cards and evidence items. The final art was put in the night before GDEX load in and this trailer was cut and finished at 2:30am that night! It was all worth it to see it all come together at the expo.

All in all we're really happy with how GDEX went and the reception we got from players was better than expected! People seemed to enjoy the multiplayer option and found the puzzle design to be fun and unique, which is great to hear as an indie developer. They were happy to figure out how it all works and feel the satisfaction of solving something that can be kind of challenging at first.

Our goal is to make the game accessible to players of various skill levels and interests, like families and kids, while still being challenging and engaging to the mind even for serious logic puzzle fans especially on the harder difficulty levels. So it's not just another mindless mobile clicker game and hopefully you actually feel kind of smart after beating a level. :)
