The Phi Beta Kappa Society presented the Washington Consortium for the Liberal Arts with its Key of Excellence Award and a $10,000 cash prize at a reception celebrating the arts and sciences at McCaw Hall on December 10, 2014.

Phi Beta Kappa created the Key of Excellence Award to energize support for the arts and sciences among decision makers entrusted with American higher education and build greater awareness of their value to the nation.
