Sam Wheeler of Arcadia CA has a mission to get the motorcycle land speed record back. He has spent 3 years rebuilding his streamliner to reach this goal. This video covers his latest dyno testing session in the spring of 2015,
Sam has continued the development work on his PARTS UNLIMITED/E-Z HOOK Streamliner throughout 2014 and 2015. Extremely wet salt conditions at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2013 and 2014 resulted in no running time on the salt. With Vance & Hines help he has been able to run on a roller dyno in the Research and Development facility that has been modified to fit the streamliner. Initial dyno testing was carried out in 2014 with a couple of days of development to map the engine electronics and test the new transmission and drive systems.
In April 2014 Sam brought the streamliner back to the dyno for more extensive testing, this video covers some of the details of this successful testing session.
Sam is scheduled to run at Bonneville 3 times in 2015. In July and August for testing and development runs and in September he will attempt a record run. All of these plans depend on good salt conditions this year.
