"Matador" is one of the names with which is known the bullfighters. In this song, The Buttertones describe a bullfighter who is coming back since a long time ago and its courage to fight the bulls again.

First, they talk about how time has passed and he's just back:
"It's been a while since you've made your mark", as a way to say that it has passed some time since he fighted a bull.
"Your dull blade and your dusty attire can bring back all those burning desires", as a way to say that seeing him again, with his bland and attire, makes everyone remember those times in which he fighted bulls. Also, "burning desires" could also make a reference of the bulls, seeing him again can make them revive the desires of fighting him.

And in this song they encourage the bullfighter:
"Feel the horns at your side", it means he shouldn't be frightened and fight him closely.
"'Cause there's no crown for one on the way down" means only one can be the best and "receive a crown" (be the best).
"You've gotten used to pissing in the dark" means he has done this and more impossible things a lot of times, so he shouldn't be afraid of the bull.
"There's no finish line for divided heart" means the fight won't end if he's indecisive.

I don't know if you're into the movies, or well, the soundtrack of Tarantino, but this song could easily be part of his world. I've listened to two songs of them and I can say it's an incredible band, 10/10.
