A behind-the-scenes look at what technology Ben Saunders will be taking to Antarctica to keep in touch with the wider world whilst he takes on the Scott Expedition; and a bit of background on how Intel is preparing the kit for the gruelling challenge.

For further information about the Scott Expedition's partnership with Intel visit http://intel.ly/1b37kiq.

In October 2013 Ben Saunders is departing on arguably the most ambitious polar journey in history - an 1800 mile unsupported return journey from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole retracing Captain Scott's footsteps.

It will be the longest unsupported polar journey in history and first time Scott's route is completed.
