Filmed Sept. 12 at Pewaukee High School, Wisconsin State Superintendent Tony Evers announces a budget proposal under which every public high school student would take the four-test ACT suite, for career planning and accountability.
Students would take the ACT in 11th grade instead of the 10th grade WKCE in mathematics, reading, and English language arts. All ninth-graders would take the ACT EXPLORE, which helps students explore and assess their preparation for various paths in high school and beyond. In 10th grade, they would continue the process with the ACT PLAN. Eleventh grade would include--in addition to the ACT--the WorkKeys job skill assessment.
