This footage covers 25 days of plant sprout growth under a 125W florescent grow light. The plants include onions, peas, flowers, lettuce and some other mixed vegetables.

This was done as a test to see how well plants would grow under a florescent grow light. These plants will be moved into our greenhouse next week. Some of the plants (vegetables) will be placed into our two liter bottle hydroponic systems and others (onions, flowers, lettuces etc.) will be placed into rain gutters.

The time span covers March 18th - April 14th 2012. Our elevation is 6550 feet high and it snowed today with a low of 22ºf. So, I am glad to be starting them inside this season. Although the greenhouse easily keeps the temperature 10º warmer than that outside with it's Solexx covering these plants could have been easily damaged if they were exposed to those temperatures.

Once the cameras are moved to the greenhouse (with the plants) you will be able to see how these plants become a food source using limited resources and recycled materials.

At our altitude the goal is to start plants as early indoors as you can and then move them outside.
