A guided meditation with spiritual teacher Adyashanti. The art of allowing everything to be as it is.
"Real meditation is not about mastering a technique; it's about letting go of control."

"The biggest barrier to awakening is the belief that it is something rare."

"Enlightenment is, in the end, nothing more than the natural state of being."

"When we sit without a demand on this moment, without waiting for the next moment, without waiting to get it -- whatever "it" is -- when we are not waiting to get enlightened or to get love, peace, or a quiet mind, and when we stop demanding anything from ourselves -- then the sacred opens up simply because there is no demand being made upon it. True sacred relationship with this moment flowers when we are not asking it to be other than it is. Then the beauty blossoms. But if we ask the smallest thing of this moment, then we start to miss the beauty. Our asking distorts what we are able to see and experience in ourselves. The mind thinks that to be free, to be liberated or enlightened means to be wiped clean of all unpleasant experiences, but that's not the way it is. The Divine wouldn't dare defile itself by removing something. That would be like cutting off your arm. But to experience these same emotions or experiences as the mystery, as God, and as the mystery of yourself, is to totally transform them."

~ Quotes by Adyashanti

We do have the precious opportunity of this human life. We can think. We have the freedom to think. We have met with the dharma. Many of us have met with teachers. We do have some idea of what to do and how to practice. And we should not be lazy. The dharma is the most precious thing in the world and we should put it at the center of our hearts and transform our whole lives into dharma practice. Otherwise, at the time of death, we will look back and say, now what was all that about? If we truly want to benefit others and ourselves, we have to do it. No excuses.
~ Tenzin Palmo

There is silence when willing ceases. This is meditation.
The seeker ceases. This is meditation.
~ Namgyal Rinpoche

"Awakening isn't about finding a better culture or religion. In fact, it isn't even about meditation. It's about waking up; it's about learning to look at our experiences directly, with honesty and integrity. In the final analysis it's about freedom, and anything that gets in the way of the goal is counterproductive, however great its potential."
- Sensei Doug Duncan

"Good mind states are love: foster them, learn about them, nurture them, and expand these precious gems. Realizing that the natural state of mind, the unborn, spontaneously, open awareness is love, is to realize that love needs no artifice, no work, no concern, no pretension, no fiddling. Leave the mind as it really is: lucid like a crystal and open like the vast expanse of space, allow love to be, allow love to act naturally. Out of love act fearlessly to remove suffering states, allow this love to blossom, enriching all beings."
- Lama Mark Webber

May all beings everywhere be free of suffering.
May all beings be happy.
May we learn to be, a moment at a time.
No expectations.
Just an open heart.
Free from attachment and sentimentality,
May we all come home to our completeness.

The gift of the Dharma excels all gifts;
The taste of the Dharma excels all tastes;
Delight in the Dharma excels all delights.
The eradication of craving and clinging overcomes all sorrow.
