This is the 1st video (or, as I prefer, vaudeo) I ever made. My friend Steve Estes was shooting a series of interviews w/ friends about computers. The only other 2 that I can remember him shooting were of Bonnie Bonnell & Jane DeSesa. We all chose to be naked. Steve's intention was to edit this footage together - wch, as far as I 'know', he never did - as such, this is probably the only surviving edited residue from this project.

It was shot in the summer of 1977 using a black & white reel-to-reel PortaCam. The location was the bedroom of the 201 year old house I was renting in the Fells Point area of Baltimore at the time. The previous resident had built a loft directly overtop the only bathtub in the house. I'd moved this loft up so that the tub (& toilet) cd be accessed & used. I'd also added a trap door so that when using the bathroom portion I cd stand up.

The 1st shot was framed around a mirror overtop a blueprint that was opposite an interior window onto the bedroom/bathroom. The bed was made from discarded hospital pillows that I'd accumulated from being a research volunteer for medical studies. The 2nd shot shows me standing in front of the doorway to the same multi-purpose room.

Playing in the background is a piece of mine entitled: "dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadada". The text is something that I'd written. The text read in the 2nd shot is a list of acronymns that I'd coined - such as "TTQ-EA": "Thoughts Too Quick - Expressions Anachronistic".
