During his career at Ohio U., Garrett found the end zone as a kick returner, punt returner, running back and wide receiver. He was a 3-time All-MAC performer and freshman All-American, including 1st team All-MAC his senior year. The running back/return specialist returned a kick and/or punt return for a touchdown in each of his four seasons on campus. Garrett finished as the schools all-time leader in kick return yards (2,185) and kick return average (26.7). He led the Bobcats in rushing and all-purpose yards in 2008 and 2009. This season he led the MAC in kick return average (27.04), finished 6th in the MAC in all-purpose yardage per game (121.4) and 18th nationally in kick return average.
