Watch this to the very end. Dooooooon't miss it!
Morgana Warner Evans is a high school student from Topsham, Maine. The singer songwriter performed this old Union song, Whose Side Are You On, at the March Against Fiscal Madness rally in Augusta, Maine on March 20, 2012. She changed the lyrics on the spot to challenge the governor. She also performed two other "Occupy" inspired compositions.
Ironically, Governor LePage unexpectedly strolled in upon hearing the commotion outside his office. His expressions and the expressions of his media spokesperson, Adrienne Bennett are priceless.
Morgana has a crystal clear, wonderful voice that reminded me of Judy Collins. I had been wondering when contemporary songwriters would lend their music to the Occupy Movement.
