In this tutorial I show a brief introduction into the usage and production of a transparent video aka. Video with alpha-chanel.
As a moving avatar on a website we need a video of an actor on a transparent background. This video will be inserted in our website with Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5, setting the Flash Video player to transparent. Animated in Adobe Edge Preview the avatar comes to life and moves around the web page.
In preparation we need to shoot a green screen video cut with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and keyed with After Effects CS5.5
The most important step will be the right encoding within Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5
