Local Appeal, Global Impact
Come talk with Foxborough High School Spanish students about how a local appeal can have a reaching global impact. Students exlored how micro-financing can impact the economies of developing countries and created digital artifacts in the target language to persuade others to support Kiva.org projects around the world.
he MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2016 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts. Providing educators from across the Commonwealth and New England with exciting ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.
Global Ed Student Showcase This year, in light of our theme and as part of MassCUE's ongoing commitment to fostering global education through technology, we hosted a Global Education Student Showcase. Students demonstrated their global competence skills through effective use of technology in the following ways: *highlighted how they are engaged in real world problem solving through global collaborative projects *Examined the role of student interest in civic engagement and social justice topics *Highlighted the role of student voice in global learning *Addressed fostering of leadership skills through global service learning *Documented student growth through international travel and exchange programs *Showed teachers and students concrete examples of student-led projects *Provided overviews of tech tool(s), program(s) or organization(s) that support student involvement in global issues through technology
