Getting children to eat right and stay fit is a family affair. It could begin by taking your kids to the market and teaching them to read food labels and pick their own healthy foods. Studies have shown that children are more likely to eat food that's good for them if they choose it themselves. They are also more likely to eat nutritious food if the family eats together. Researchers at Washington State University found that when families dine together, kids consume more vegetables and fewer fatty foods and soda.
