June, 2010 - Sen. Begich tours the Smithsonian Museum's new Yup'ik Eskimo exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History. The exhibit runs until July 25, 2010, in Washington D.C. A sister exhibit is on permanent display in the Anchorage Museum.

The tour is guided by Dr. Igor Krupnik, the Smithsonian Institution's curator for arctic and northern ethnology.

The exhibit is entitled "Yuungnaqpiallerput (The Way We Genuinely Live): Masterworks of Yup'ik Science and Survival."


The Alaska Report is a public broadcast program hosted by the Alaska Congressional Delegation. In the 111th Congress, Senator Begich and Senator Lisa Murkowski rotate hosting duties and interview guests of their choice.
