Former Baltimore Ravens and future NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis had quite a few choice words for the Black Lives Matter organization and movement. Lewis also had choice words for the black community in general. In a very preacher-like soliloquy he recorded with his phone that first appeared on his Facebook page, he asked a series of very good questions, starting with "If black lives really mattered, why not riot now?" This was in reference to the out of control murder rate in Chicago, where there have been over 140 murders, the majority of which are black on black, in just the first three months of 2016.

This comes as a shock to many, who see Ray Lewis as a ferocious competitor on the gridiron, not so much a political or a religious man. Many others have tried to bring up his past, in which he was facing a double murder trial for his involvement in a fight between his friends and another group of people where two men actually lost their lives in the end. He was not convicted of that crime and went on to lead a marvelous NFL career. Since then, he has often been a source of inspiration and encouragement to his teammates.

Whispers of "coon" and "uncle tom" can be seen all over the internet, due to his lack of kowtowing to the general black victimhood script of "everything is the white man's fault and black on black crime is a myth." Which is the line that a man named Aaron Goggans, a Black Lives Matter Washington DC leader gave on a CNN interview in response to Ray Lewis' testimonial on Facebook. Goggans said that Black Lives Matter has the main goal of being against "state violence" ... and that it's possible to be against both that and black on black crime. Maybe Mr. Goggans and his crew should shift focus to where it belongs, rather than continuing to pick low-hanging fruit.
