it starts out that Harley was order into the under belly of Detroit the part never stops raining to do some business for Joker. Joker who never ever, rarely leaves Gotham, Harley is the most capable for the job, and since it's supposed to be a very civil kind of matter she goes alone. She meets with Top Dollar who has reached out to Joker to take part in Devil's Night. Harley learning about the entire thing, seems a little bit on edge --- but she buffs. But imagine her surprise when someone dressed up like a Harlequin, that isn't her shows up. Realizing this man is about to start a riot she takes her leave --- although she witness what seems to be a suicide of sorts. The man is gunned down in a hail of bullets. Harley who is still a good person is a little upset by the entire thing. But to her shock the man defies the laws of nature and gets back up and starts firing. That's enough for her, she tries to escape to Gotham.
Meanwhile, Eric Draven watches her the entire time. Unsure of why she was in the meeting with Top Dollar he seeks her out. Offering her shelter in the storm --- she takes it begrudgingly and is taken back to Eric's loft. And she begins to realize what happened to him, unsure if he's dead or alive; she doesn't care. But she also knows that seems to be a bit of a vignette; and given her experience with them [ie Batman] she realize that she needs to leave. She begins to tell him the truth that she is a bad person; her name is Harley Quinn. And she is the hench wench & girlfriend to the Joker; a murderous bastard of a clown. She is a killer and a thief. Draven taken back stares into her eyes. Harley is mostly good [she has her own set of rules she lives by] and had nothing to do with what happened to him. Leaving the shelter of the loft, Eric is leave with his thoughts; she's free to leave for Gotham.
Alone in the loft, Top Dollar and his men kidnap Harley and Draven can feel it. She is taken to the church and he comes to save her [epically I might add] - Eric is shot and doesn't recover, the Crow has been killed [really just injured] --- Harley seeing this leaps into action and tries to do whatever she can to help Eric. She might feel something for his plight, she buys Eric time to recover enough to fight. Eric goes after Top Dollar and kills him, forcing to fall off the roof thanks to memories of what happened to Shelly. Harley takes care of his men, and the two are reunited.
Harley might be a bad person but she helped Eric get revenge; and he gained unlikely ally.
I love this video a lot; people wanted a longer one after the Fighter MEP I did, but I didn't want Harls to kill him in this one. I did leave it open for a series; and it might happen. It probably will; just not right away. I'm going to let my love for this video go VERY strong for a bit.
I didn't want this video to be romantic --- people can think of it however they want, but to me it's not romantic. Eric's true love is Shelly, and Harley's is the Joker. [I CAN'T DO IT!] --- it's got a friendship vibe to it. Yes they do hug but you hug your friends.
I do like the idea of Harley not killing Eric, and being some what protective of him. Because you tweet his story just a little bit and you get one of Joker's pasts. All it takes is one bad day.
