Napkin Folding the Swan or Peacock. The idea behind this fold is to shape it so that one end looks like the long, languorous tail-feathers of a peacock.

Video Transcription: This is the swan or peacock fold. Take your napkin and turn it so its diagonal to you, then starting at the bottom simply pleat all the way across with back and forth folds that approximately one inch wide, try and make sure that they are all even and fold it down nicely. This fold is a good one to have an iron handy to keep the pleats down. Once you've got it about this far, it might be easier to flip it over and start going from the other side. Once you have got this, take it approximately three quarters of the way out and fold it, grab your wine glass, stick it in there, and arrange it so that you have got a head and tail feathers. And there is your swan or peacock!
