Original song, Battling Bastards of Bataan. Video includes original pictures from the Battle of Bataan, the Bataan Death March and POW camps afterward. Illustrations are by Ben Steele (survivor). The Battle of Bataan was one of the first battles of WWII for the US, and while the poorly-equipped troops defended the Philippines valiantly and delayed the progress of the Japanese for four months, they eventually surrendered and were forced to endure the march across the Bataan peninsula. The chorus of this song is from the poem written by Frank Hewlett in 1942, a reporter who was flown out before the surrender. "We're the Battling Bastards of Bataan, no mama, no papa no Uncle Sam... ...and nobody gives a damn".
